Unveiling of the New Portrait of Pope Leo XIV — 2025

Newtownstewart – Fr Roland Colhoun, together with two P4 pupils from St Patrick’s Primary School, unveiled a new picture of Pope Leo XIV in the Oratory of Mary Mother of God on 30th November 2025. The Oratory marked its Silver Jubilee this month.

New Mahogany Tabernacle Arch Unveiled at Newtownstewart Oratory

Unveiling of the New Mahogany Tabernacle Arch — 2025

Newtownstewart – Fr Roland Colhoun, at the Newtownstewart Oratory, with Faolan Patton (P7), unveiled the new mahogany arch surmounting the tabernacle on Sunday 21st December 2025. This is one of several enhancements made to the Oratory as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations (2000–2025).

New Tabernacle Arch — Silver Jubilee Commemoration

Newtownstewart – The new mahogany tabernacle arch at the Oratory was designed by Fr Roland Colhoun, with architectural work by Declan Devine. This enhancement was created to mark the Silver Jubilee of the Oratory in 2025.

Croagh Patrick – Fr Roland Colhoun joined pilgrims from Newtownstewart and neighbouring parishes in a pilgrimage to Croagh Patrick on Sunday 20th July 2025. The climb formed part of the celebrations marking the Jubilee Year.
